Integrated Yoga - With Mark Walsh and Aram Raffy

Integrating your practice into your life. Techniques and tools for looking at how your body reflects how and who you are.
Incorporating a dynamic vinyasa practice through traditional and slightly less traditional postures as a means of deepening our understanding of the mind-body relationship, using embodiment principles to apply those insights into our lives for effective change.

Mark Walsh is the founder of Embodied Yoga Principle and has been a practitioner of movements arts for twenty years, including several years as a full-time aikido student. His main yoga influences are Scaraveli, Yin and Buddhist inspired teachers. He founded and runs several organisations which bring embodiment into business, to aid workers in war zones, and trains yoga instructors and facilitators in twenty countries annually. he started EYP which is now catching on worldwide and leads a regular class in this in Brighton. His YouTube channel has over 10 Million hits and he’s now getting self conscious about boasting and talking about himself in the third person so will leave it there.

More on the work he does with Yoga here:

Aram Raffy teaches vinyasa-krama in London and all over.

He is known for his fun, uplifting style of Ashtanga based vinyasa. A student of both Eastern and Western philosophies, he seeks to pass on the spiritual essence of Yoga through a powerful physical practice, deep conscious breath-work and active meditation

Big city life getting you down? Finding everything is a bit too serious? Work, taxes, relationships, politics, media - stuff. You turn to your yoga practice for respite and even then the discipline and effort required to maintain it sometimes becomes as much of a burden. Too much, too much.

As adults we often forget to play. That maybe it's important. Too much focus on achieving doesn't leave much space for doing anything for no reason.

Mastery in any discipline requires a serious amount of messing around. Doodling, fiddling, making mistakes, falling over, giggling, getting up.

Did you forget? That there may be a choice?

Maybe it was supposed to be FUN?!

Come and rediscover the spirit of lila (play) in your practice. There will be jumping, tunes, chanting, shouting, kicking, screaming, snorting, guffawing, flipping, farting, umming, ahhing, omming and eeeeing.

All of this will be incorporated within the structure of a very serious vinyasa practice.

There may be jokes, (not very good ones).

This workshop will be very hard work. Open to anyone game for a giggle.
